Application development & deployment

Build your application.
Deploy it with confidence.

We help develop modular applications and deploy them on premises, in the cloud or in a hosted environment. Start with Docker Compose where it fits, and move to Kubernetes when the workload and operating needs justify it.

What we can help with

Application development

Build application modules, APIs and integrations around agreed user needs. Keep component boundaries clear and include testing, configuration and documentation in the development work.

Docker Compose deployment

Define application services, PostgreSQL connections, networks and persistent storage in a repeatable Compose setup. Document configuration, startup, updates and recovery for the intended environment.

Moving to Kubernetes

Review the existing application before migration. Plan deployment configuration, service discovery, ingress, storage, access and health checks, then validate the application in the target cluster.

Presentation layer

Plan how users reach the application, including web delivery, access paths and integration with the layers behind it.

Application layer

Define how application services run, communicate and handle configuration, with containers where they are a useful fit.

Database layer

Plan database connectivity, access boundaries, persistent storage and backup needs in line with the application requirements.

Deployment & operations

Connect release workflows, monitoring and recovery procedures so the application has a practical path from testing to ongoing operation.

Agreed around your project

Useful outputs, clearly scoped.

Application architecture and dependency documentation

Environment and deployment configuration for the agreed scope

Release, monitoring and recovery guidance

The exact deliverables and responsibilities are agreed before work begins.

A useful distinction

Before we start.

Is three tier architecture the same as a Tier III facility?

No. Three tier application architecture separates presentation, application logic and the database. Tier III describes the hosting facility classification. An application can use three tier architecture whether it runs on premises, in the cloud or in a hosting facility.
